Jewelry Care and Buying Guide

How to wear, clean and stock 316L stainless steel — plus what every reseller should know before placing an order.

Why 316L Stainless Steel

Most of our jewelry is made from 316L, a marine-grade stainless steel with a low nickel content. Compared with brass or plated alloy, it resists scratches, sweat and daily water contact without rusting or turning skin green — which is why it has become the standard material for jewelry worn every day. Color finishes are applied with durable PVD plating that is waterproof and resistant to tarnish.

Daily Wear and Care

Do

✔Rinse off soap, chlorine or salt-water residue, then dry thoroughly.

✔Clean gently with mild soap and a soft cloth.

✔Store pieces separately to prevent scratches when not worn.

Frequently Asked Questions

What material are your jewelry pieces made of?

Our jewelry is mainly crafted from hypoallergenic 316L stainless steel. We apply durable PVD plating for different color finishes, which is waterproof and resistant to tarnish. 316L is a marine-grade steel with low nickel content — the reason it is the standard material for everyday jewelry.

Is stainless-steel jewelry hypoallergenic?

Stainless steel is skin-friendly for the majority of wearers with metal sensitivities, because the low-nickel formulation does not react the way brass or plated alloy does. Individual skin reactions may vary.

Can I wear my jewelry in water, the shower or a swimming pool?

Stainless steel itself is water-resistant. To preserve the finish, we recommend rinsing away soap, chlorine or salt-water residue and drying it thoroughly afterwards.

How do I look after my stainless-steel jewelry?

Clean it gently with mild soap and a soft cloth. Avoid long-term contact with perfume, hairspray, lotion and chlorine. Store pieces separately to prevent scratches when you are not wearing them.
